A poem with a reason #whyimarch –>
I don’t usually write satirical poems, but VP Pence’s unwillingness to have lunch alone with a woman who is not his wife called for it. It’s hard not to lampoon this administration. It doesn’t mean Pence’s brand of B.S. is without very serious implications (see this New Yorker piece on the beliefs that keep women from power): women face the reality every day. The good ol’ boys network is not only alive and well but also emboldened thanks to the 2016 election. And no, I’m not over it.
