50+ list poems for writing inspiration
MORE THAN 50 LIST POEMS / I love reading list poems. I love writing them. And when it comes to getting poem drafts started quickly (a big help when doing poem-a-day challenges), they’re lifesavers.

MORE THAN 50 LIST POEMS / I love reading list poems. I love writing them. And when it comes to getting poem drafts started quickly (a big help when doing poem-a-day challenges), they’re lifesavers.
POETRY PROMPT / I introduce three poems by Ruth Madievsky — “Electron,” “Wormhole” and “Tuning Fork” — and invite you to use them as inspiration for your own drafts.
EMERGENCY BRAKE by RUTH MADIEVSKY / It’s absolutely appropriate that Jill is the one who pointed me toward this collection: like Jill, Madievsky’s writing is next-level playful and imaginative. Both of them have a gift for freshness with language that’s soooooo enviable. Each analogy makes you wonder what just hit you and if you’ll be lucky enough to be struck again.
My reading list is organized with the most recent on top so if, by chance, you stop by more than once for an update, you only have to scroll forever if you have forever to scroll! Note that I’ve extended the time frame to 12-ish months right out of the gate. My days of being so ambitious all the damn time are way behind me.
